This Act amends the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 to include licensed jockeys as workers for the purposes of workers' compensation, clarifying employer responsibilities and weekly earnings calculations.

Licensed jockeys in Western Australia are now explicitly covered under workers' compensation, ensuring they are eligible for benefits in case of injury. Racing and Wagering Western Australia and licensed trainers are assigned employer responsibilities.
