๐ Liquor Control Amendment (Protected Entertainment Precincts) Act 2022

This Act amends the Liquor Control Act 1988 to introduce Protected Entertainment Precincts and exclusion orders for individuals who cause harm or disorder in those areas. It also makes consequential amendments to the Criminal Investigation (Identifying People) Act 2002 and the Sentencing Act 1995.
Impact
Individuals who engage in anti-social behaviour in designated entertainment precincts may be subject to short-term or extended exclusion orders, preventing them from entering these areas. Licensed premises and the police are also affected by the new regulations and enforcement powers.
