📘 Motor Vehicle and Workplace Accidents (Catastrophic Injuries) Act 2016

This Act establishes a scheme for lifetime care and support for individuals who sustain catastrophic injuries in motor vehicle accidents in Western Australia. It also amends related legislation to accommodate the scheme.
Impact
Individuals catastrophically injured in motor vehicle accidents will have access to lifetime care and support. The Insurance Commission of Western Australia's responsibilities are expanded. Amendments are made to the Civil Liability Act 2002, the Insurance Commission of Western Australia Act 1986, and the Motor Vehicle (Third Party Insurance) Act 1943.
