๐ Industrial Hemp Amendment Act 2018

This Act amends the Industrial Hemp Act 2004 and the Misuse of Drugs Act 1981 to increase the permitted level of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in industrial hemp and processed industrial hemp from 0.35% to 1%.
Impact
Farmers and processors of industrial hemp in Western Australia are affected, as they can now cultivate and process hemp with a higher THC content. This may also affect law enforcement and regulatory bodies responsible for monitoring and enforcing drug laws.
