๐ Dangerous Sexual Offenders Amendment Act 2012

This Act amends the Dangerous Sexual Offenders Act 2006 to allow for electronic monitoring and curfews to be imposed on certain dangerous sexual offenders. It also introduces penalties for interference with electronic monitoring devices and non-compliance with curfews.
Impact
Dangerous sexual offenders subject to supervision orders are affected by the imposition of electronic monitoring and curfew requirements. Community corrections officers are given additional powers to enforce these requirements. The courts are impacted by mandatory sentencing provisions.
