๐ Duties Amendment (First Home Owner Concessions) Act 2024

This Act amends the Duties Act 2008 to increase the thresholds for first home owner duty concessions. It adjusts the property value bands for which first home buyers are eligible for reduced or nil stamp duty.
Impact
First home buyers in Western Australia will be affected, as the increased thresholds may allow more people to qualify for stamp duty concessions or pay less duty. The changes apply to transactions occurring on or after 9 May 2024.
