This Bill amends the Building Services (Complaint Resolution and Administration) Act 2011 to extend the time limit for complaints relating to faulty Typlex pipes and allows the Building Commissioner to create policies for dealing with specific types of complaints.
Impact
Homeowners with Typlex pipes installed between mid-2017 and mid-2022 are affected, as they now have an extended period to lodge complaints. The Building Commissioner will have more power to create policies to resolve building complaints.
