This Bill amends the Industry and Technology Development Act 1998 to allow Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) finance to be disbursed to Government Trading Enterprises and removes references to the defunct Technology and Industry Advisory Council (TIAC).

Government Trading Enterprises will be able to access NAIF funding for infrastructure projects, particularly in regional areas. This could lead to increased investment and development. The removal of references to TIAC reflects its dissolution.
