The Delegated Legislation Committee reviewed the Town of Cambridge Local Government and Public Property Local Law 2016 and found it invalid. The Town failed to obtain the Governor's approval as required by section 3.6(1) of the Local Government Act 1995 before making the Local Law. The Committee recommended disallowance of the Local Law.

The disallowance would revive the Town of Cambridge Local Government and Public Property Local Law gazetted on 22 March 2002. Residents and visitors to the Town of Cambridge and its foreshore areas are affected.
