The Delegated Legislation Committee reviewed the Shire of Westonia's Shipping and/or Sea Container Local Law 2024 and found that item 9 of Part 3, which makes the law retrospective, is inconsistent with the Local Government Act 1995. The Committee recommends that item 9 be disallowed by Parliament. This is due to concerns about retrospectivity impacting existing rights.
