City of Bayswater Standing Orders Local Law 2012
Delegated Legislation Committee (2001 - 2017)· 13 September 2012general_report
The WA Delegated Legislation Committee reviewed the City of Bayswater's Standing Orders Local Law 2012 and found it invalid due to non-compliance with Section 3.12 of the Local Government Act 1995. The City failed to follow the correct sequence in providing notice to the Minister. The Committee recommended disallowance of the Local Law.
Impact
The City of Bayswater must remake the local law following the correct procedure. The previous Standing Orders Local Law published in 2001 is revived. Other local governments are reminded to strictly adhere to Section 3.12 of the Local Government Act 1995.
