FI401 FISHERIES ADJUSTMENT SCHEMES ACT 1987 ABALONE MANAGED FISHERY VOLUNTARY FISHERIES ADJUSTMENT SCHEME NOTICE (NO.2) 2026 [A36020] Made by the Minister under section 10B of the Act. 1. Citation This notice may be cited as the Abalone Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme Notice (No.2) 2026. 2. Revocation The Abalone Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme Notice 2026, published in the Gazette on 10 April 2026, is revoked. 3. Interpretation In this notice— Area means an Area of the Fishery as described in Schedule 1 of the Abalone Management Plan 1992; associated fishing boat licence means an authorisation granted with respect to a vessel used in the Fishery in conjunction with any other authorisation; authorisation means— (a) a managed fishery licence authorising a person to fish in the Fishery; or (b) an associated fishing boat licence; committee means the Kimberley and South Coast Fisheries Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme Committee of Management established by written instrument dated 28 January 2025, subsequently varied on 4 February 2025 and made under section 11 of the Act; eligible person has the same meaning as in the Act; entitlement means an entitlement conferred by an authorisation; Fishery means the Abalone Managed Fishery identified in clause 3 of the Abalone Management Plan 1992; scheme means the Abalone Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme 2026 established by clause 3. 4. Establishment of voluntary fisheries adjustment scheme A voluntary fisheries adjustment scheme is established, to be called the Abalone Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme 2026. 5. Objectives The objectives of the scheme are to facilitate a reduction of catch in the Fishery by allowing the surrender of— (a) the quantum of units specified in the Table to this clause; and (b) further Area 1 Brownlip units of entitlement, where the authorisation holder has surrendered all units held with respect to other Areas of t
