HE401 PUBLIC HEALTH ACT 2016 PUBLIC HEALTH (NOTIFIABLE INFECTIOUS DISEASE) ORDER 2026 Made by the Minister under section 90(2) of the Public Health Act 2016. 1. Citation This order may be cited as the Public Health (Notifiable Infectious Disease) Order 2026. 2. Commencement This order comes into operation on the day it is signed by the Minister. 3. Expiry of order This order expires 6 months from the commencement date unless otherwise revoked or replaced. 4. SCHEDULE Hantavirus infection in humans is declared to be— (a) a notifiable infectious disease; and (b) an urgently notifiable infectious disease. Dated 21st May 2026. Hon.
