Fuel supply—State hazard plan
165. Hon Steve Martin to
the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Energy and
Decarbonisation:
I refer to fuel
supply concerns.
(1) Can the minister confirm what alert
level we are currently at under the relevant state hazard plan, noting that it
was level 0—white—last week?
(2) What actions, other than monitoring,
has the Coordinator of Energy taken since the state government's fuel round table
to address supply concerns?
(3) Can the minister provide any figures
to demonstrate the extent of increased consumer demand for fuel in Western
Australia comparing the most recent full calendar week before the Iran conflict
began with the last calendar week?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question and I answer on behalf of the
Leader of the House. The following response has been provided by
the Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation.
(1)–(3) The supply of fuel into Western Australia
remains uninterrupted. The government is prepared to take further action if and
when required in accordance with the WA Energy
Supply Disruption: State Hazard Plan . The Coordinator of Energy
continues to support the government's work to stabilise WA's fuel supply and
distribution system, including as part of the fuel security industry operational
group.
