I refer to the WA Builder Support Program announced in November 2025 to provide grants of $300,000 each to the Housing Industry Association of Western Australia and the Master Builders Association of Western Australia over the next two years and ask:(a) How many skilled and qualified tradespeople have successfully been registered as builders since the program was announced;(b) Out of the $300,000 grants allocated to both the Housing Industry Association and the Master Builders Association, how much has been spent on program delivery in the first five months;(c) How many industry participants have enrolled in or completed the specific training sessions regarding registration requirements and processes; and(d) How many existing registered builders have accessed the guidance provided on business management and financial compliance?

(b) The Housing Industry Association and Master Builders Association (MBA) are unable to provide a separate breakdown of expenditure on program delivery, as the grants for 2025-26 supplement staff wages, training and overheads associated with their respective initiatives.
(c) Fifteen persons have completed the Housing Industry Association’s ‘Trade Contractor to Builder’ program, with a further 15 already registered for the June 2026 intake.
(d) MBA has assisted an average of 30 persons per week with general inquiries on builder registration requirements and related guidance and has conducted 245 structured phone interviews.
