I refer to the

investment and infrastructure to regional Western Australia.

Everyone in this
Parliament and, indeed, in the community, knows how strongly we support
regional Western Australia through a significant pipeline of investment,
including Royalties for Regions. We will continue to make sure that we invest
in regional Western Australia because it supports people and economic growth. I
remind members opposite that when they were in government, Royalties for
Regions was used for some of the most bizarre things. There were musical
toilets, plastic cows, street furniture. There was no vision for how to take
this state forward economically; it was just a vision for how to capture votes.
It was a political campaign. We are driving the economy—creating jobs and
opportunities. I also want to remind this place that they did not spend a
single dollar from Royalties for Regions on regional roads. In addition, it used
Royalties for Regions to build buildings in the central business district of
Perth. The integrity of the Royalties for Regions program has been restored by
the WA Labor government and we continue to drive great jobs, opportunity,
development and a future for people living in regional WA.
