Mental health—Inpatient older age units
358. Hon Michelle Boylan to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to my
previous questions without notice 230 and 312 asked last year referencing the
absence of any structural, dedicated inpatient older age mental health units
outside the Perth metropolitan area.
(1) On what specific hospital wards are
regional older adults who are experiencing mental health issues admitted to in
Perth, and what triage assessments are applied on admission?
(2) In the 2024–25 financial year, what
was the average time, from admission to discharge, for regional older adults
experiencing mental health issues relocated to metropolitan WA hospitals?
