In 2022 the Ombudsman made nine recommendations in its report that investigated Family and Domestic Violence and Suicide. Recommendation 8 which deals with the development of a common understanding by departments as to what constituted a trauma-informed approach across Government has still not been implemented. When the Minister for Communities was asked in Estimates for advice on this matter the response was that is the responsibility of the Mental Health Commission. Can the Minister advise therefore:
(a) Four years later, has recommendation 8 been implemented;
(b) If so when and what advice has been provided to departments on the issue; and
(c) If not, why not and when is it likely this recommendation will be implemented?
