This is from a
coalition that increased land taxes three years in a row when they were in
government. They bankrupted the state and then they had to hit landowners in
this state. That is what they did.
Several members
interjected.
The Speaker: Members of the opposition!
Ms Rita Saffioti: The question is completely
inappropriate and out of order, but I will answer it. I will answer it. We are
injecting $4.7 billion into new homes. I know you don't care about social
housing. I know you're opposed to social housing, and I know you're the biggest
hypocrite in this state. Out there—
The Speaker: Treasurer! Treasurer, please withdraw
that.
Withdrawal of remark
Ms Rita Saffioti: Not the biggest—no; sorry!
Several members
interjected.
The Speaker: No. Members!
Ms Rita Saffioti: I withdraw. I withdraw.
Questions without notice resumed
Ms Rita Saffioti: We are out there supporting housing
supply, infrastructure spend—
Mr Lachlan Hunter: Pulling every lever. What
else are you doing?
Ms Rita Saffioti: Well,
I think you would know about that.
The Speaker: Member for Central Wheatbelt! If you have
a question, you will get the opportunity. In the meantime, do not interject.
Ms Rita Saffioti: I assume the 20% stamp duty is the
shadow Treasurer's policy?
Several members
interjected.
Ms Rita Saffioti: This is incredible! The shadow
Treasurer comes here and does not know what their policy is.
The Speaker: Thank you, Treasurer.
