I refer to concerns raised by locals about delays to the Lloyd Street Bridge project and the associated Great Eastern Highway (GEH) Bypass interchange upgrades since 2022, impacting Midland, Hazelmere, Helena Valley and surrounds, and I ask:
(a) have heritage and environmental approval issues been resolved and if not, what is preventing these approvals from progressing and what is the current timeline for resolution;
(b) is the level of traffic on Stirling Crescent acceptable;
(c) in relation to (b), what is the target level of traffic per day along this route compatible with an efficient and moving network;
(d) in relation to (c), what is the actual level of traffic per day along this route;
(e) in relation to questions (b), (c), and (d), what is the corresponding answers for these questions for:
(i) Midland Road;
(ii) Military Road; and
(iii) Helena Valley Road;
(f) when will the Lloyd Street Bridge and GEH Bypass interchange works be completed on the current timeline;
(g) has any work been done to review the interchange design and related works to reflect current and future population density in Helena Valley, given concerns have been raised that previous modelling may be inaccurate/unsuitable; and
(h) are any interim measures in place or under consideration in relation to safety on Stirling Crescent, Midland Road and Helena Valley Road?
