The Government confimred a $50m Health Asset Maintenance Fund in September
2025 for urgent works. Can the Minister advise:
(a) How were these funds disbursed – that is who identified where the funds should be spent and what criteria were applied;
(b) Were these works undertaken under existing arrangements or were third parties engaged to undertake the work, and if so who;
(c) Of the breakdown of funding by hospital, and if not, then by region;
(d) Are any funds remaining, and if so how much and how are they likely to be used;
(e) Are further injections of funding for maintenance purposes planned, and if so on what basis; and
(f) Has the $50m addressed all of the issues identified in the external review undertaken of the urgent maintenance needs of hospitals?
