During 2026-27 Budget Estimates the Minister advised that data on suicides in WA is collected by the State Coroner, but is used by the Mental Health Commission to inform planning. Can the Minister advise:
(a) How many people in WA committed suicide in WA in 2024-25 and so far in 2025-26, broken down by age, sex and Aboriginality;
(b) How many of these suicides were in Perth and how many in the regions;
(c) How specifically has this information been used to develop and implement strategies for suicide prevention in WA;
(d) What specific targets had been set and have they been achieved;
(e) Over the past ten years have the number of suicides been increasing or decreasing;
(f) How have the programs and initiatives implemented by the Mental Health Commission impacted on the rate of suicide over the past ten years; and
(g) Based on the evaluation's undertaken of programs over the past ten years what is proposed to be done the same in the future, and what is likely to be different?
