Question
I refer to the State Government’s housing program since 2017, and I ask:(a) how many dwellings have been committed by the State Government since 2017;(b) how many of these dwellings have been completed;(c) how many are currently under construction; and(d) how many remain un-commenced?
Answer
(a) – (d)
Unlike the Liberal National opposition, the Cook Labor Government has a commitment to social and affordable housing and has set a target for social housing.
The initial target of 3,300 social and affordable homes was delivered on time, with a total of 3,922 now delivered. There are an additional 1,555 social and affordable housing dwellings currently under contract or construction.
