In October, 2025 the Premier announced a Bill will be introduced shortly to establish Defence West as a statutory authority, and the 2026-27 Budget Papers note this authority will be established by 2027. Can the Minister advise:
(a) When will this Bill be introduced;
(b) What are the advantages of Defence West being established as a statutory authority as opposed to the current arrangements;
(c) Will the 33 FTE in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet automatically transfer to this authority, or will a formal recruitment process be followed; and
(d) What is envisioned as the staffing establishment and operational budget for this authority?
