In Budget Estimates 2025-26
Committee B, July 1, 2025, Dr Bowen confirmed that all
recommendations of the independent inquiry into the Aishwarya Aswath case had
been implemented, except recommendation 29, for which discussions had
been held, but a formalised network had not been implemented. Can the Minister advise:
(a) Five years on from this tragedy, and 12 months from when I raised this issue can the Government confirm if recommendation 29 has now been implemented; and
(b) If not, why not? If not, will it ever be implemented?
