I refer to the
midyear review's $802 million projected drawings against the $1.2 billion
Treasurer's advance authorisation limit and the Treasurer's Advance
Authorisation Bill 2026 for $1.2 billion more. Why can the Treasurer not explain
to this house how the government is spending $1.6 billion of that advance?

Mr Roger Cook: I am sure that the member opposite
would like me to remind her that we are the strongest and fastest-growing
economy in the nation. I am sure that the member opposite would like me to
remind her that this is the best place to get a quality job. We have a growing
economy, and as a result of that, we have a Western Australian state government
that is working with industry to lock in that growth and that strength, and
ensure that Western Australia's remains the strongest economy in the nation. As
a result of that, we need to continue to make sure that we have the resources
we need to implement the policies that the Western Australian electorate
backed, and we are continuing to make sure that we can back Western Australian
industry.
