Hon Jackie Jarvis replied:I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.(1)–(2) Following the release of the latest science in September 2025, public consultation occurred from September to November via the "Have your say" form on the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development website, as well as the Fishing Futures Forum at which the commercial sector was represented. I have also met with individual stakeholders, including the WA Fishing Industry Council (WAFIC), which represents the fishing industry. Meetings with WAFIC were held on 29 July, 13 August, 4 November and 9 December.
