I refer to Main Roads WA contract MRWA027625 for cultural monitoring of Karalee and Ghooli Stage 3 Upgrades in the Goldfields awarded to Terra Rosa Cultural Resource Management whose offices are in Fremantle and I ask:
(a) How many local Aboriginal-led organisations from the Goldfields were actually approached for this contract;
(b) Was Goldfields Aboriginal Community Services (GACS) approached for this contract in the first instance, given they are based in the region:
(i) If not, why not; and
(c) Why was a Direct Sourcing procurement method used for this tender rather than bidding for meritorious submissions from local Aboriginal businesses?
