Scott River wind farm
419. Hon Dr Steve Thomas to the Leader of the House representing the
Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation:
I refer to the
Synergy Scott River wind farm proposal in Scott River and advice I received
from affected landowner Mr Scott Baxter in a meeting I had with him on 3 May
2024.
(1) Did Synergy conduct negotiations with
landowner Mr Scott Baxter over the potential installation of wind turbines on
his property at Scott River?
(2) Did Mr Baxter seek payments of
approximately $45,000 per turbine per year?
(3) Was the Synergy offer around $25,000
per turbine per year?
(4) At what point did Mr Baxter suspend
negotiations over the potential payments for the placement of wind turbines on
his Scott River property?
