North Metropolitan Health Service—Family and domestic
violence
201. Hon Jess Beckerling to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the North
Metropolitan Health Service's Family and Domestic
Violence Framework 2021–26 .
(1) Have there been any progress reports
done to measure the effectiveness and track implementation and/or progress of
the framework?
(2) If yes to (1), can the minister
please table a copy of the report or reports?
(3) If no to (1), why not?
(4) Has a new framework been developed,
noting this one ends this year?
(5) If yes, to (4), when will it be
publicly available?
(6) If no to (4), why not?
(7) Is the NMHS the only health service
in WA with an FDV strategic framework?
(8) If yes to (7), are there any plans to
expand similar frameworks across the wider health network?
(9) If no to (7), why not?
The President:
That is a fairly
lengthy nine-part question, which may raise some concerns around standing order
105. We will see if the parliamentary secretary is able to answer.

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. I am sure the answer will
not infringe that standing order. The following answer has been provided by the
Minister for Health.
(1) Yes. An evaluation report has been
completed to assess the effectiveness of the framework and track implementation
progress.
(2)–(3) No. The evaluation report was prepared
for internal policy and administrative purposes.
(4) No. The evaluation findings and the
WA family and domestic violence System Reform Plan have informed development of
an action plan for horizon 2 of the framework.
(5) Not applicable.
(6) The framework has been extended to
June 2027 to support horizon 2 implementation. The horizon 2 action plan was
completed on 24 November 2025.
(7) Yes.
(8)–(9) The Department of Health is working with health
service providers to improve the consistency and effectiveness of the WA Health
response to family and domestic violence, aligned with the state government's FDV
System Reform Plan.
The President: You might be close to standing order
106, honourable member, but I accept that the questions were lengthy.
