Medicinal Cannabis and Safe Driving Working Group
257. Hon Dr Brian Walker to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Health; Mental Health:
I refer the minister
to the report from the working group into THC and driving reform, which I am
advised submitted its final report to her some four months ago. Given that
patients and drivers are suffering under our current inadequate laws on an
almost daily basis:
(1) What, if anything, is delaying an
announcement from the government on this issue?
(2) When can we expect an
announcement—positive, negative or noncommittal as it may be?
