Question

We are approaching the 1000 day anniversary of the death of Michael Jurman on the North Rankin gas complex, 135 kilometres offshore from Dampier. National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is the independent federal regulator investigating Mr Jurman's death. NOPSEMA works in conjunction with state and federal resources ministers (the Joint Authority) to regulate offshore safety and environmental management in Commonwealth waters, and I ask:(a) has NOPSEMA been in touch with the Minister recently, as per the Joint Authority arrangement;(b) has NOPSEMA provided any information recently, regarding the investigation into Mr Jurman's death; and(c) if yes to (b), when can we expect results to be made public?

Answer
