Government Regional Officers' Housing
216. Mr Shane Love to
the Premier:
I have a
supplementary question. Should communities, such as Carnarvon, which did not
get one single house under the Premier's announcement, simply assume they are
not a priority of your government?

Like the town that the member mentioned, some have
already been subject to significant growth in GROH housing numbers in
Western Australia. Since 2021, we have increased it by 100, and that town and
many others will continue to enjoy record investment in regional WA, in which
this government has spent. That is why we are committed to ensuring that
regional Western Australia remains a great place to live. In relation to the
needs of our big regional centres, we will continue to make sure that they have
the services, the amenity and the infrastructure that they need to continue to
attract the workforce to ensure that Western Australia's economy can move
forward and stay strong.
