I refer to reports
that since January 2026 Busselton Margaret River Airport has been operating
without quarantine or biosecurity officers in place.
(1) Can the minister confirm whether Busselton
Margaret River Airport is currently operating without biosecurity officers?
(2) If yes, what actions has the Department
of Primary Industries and Regional Development taken to address this?
(3) How many biosecurity officer FTE
positions are allocated to Busselton Margaret River Airport?
(4) How many of these positions are
currently vacant?

and Regional Development undertakes inspections of interstate flights arriving
at the Busselton Margaret River Airport in accordance with its usual operating
model.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) A senior quarantine inspector is
allocated to inspections at the Busselton Margaret River Airport and is supported
by the broader Quarantine WA team, based in Perth.
(4) The allocated position is not vacant.
