Answer

Hon Matthew Swinbourn replied:I thank the member for some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided by the Minister for Police.(1) Burglary offences for the Carnarvon police subdistrict between 1 July 2025 and 23 February 2026 have decreased by 35.4% from the same period in the previous financial year. Carnarvon police officers continue to respond very well to community-based harm in a complex environment. There is no offence of "ramraid". It is a burglary whereby a vehicle is used to force entry into a building for the purpose of stealing. There were four over the two nights of 22 February and 23 February 2026. No other reported offences of this nature have occurred in Carnarvon from 1 February 2026.(2) There were three as of 24 February 2026.(3) There was zero.(4) There were two as of 24 February 2026.
