Community resource centres—Funding
335. Hon Julie Freeman to
the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the
community resource centres (CRCs) funded through the Department of Primary
Industries and Regional Development.
(1) Can the minister please provide a
list of all CRCs in Western Australia that receive funding?
(2) How much funding did each CRC receive
in the 2025–26 financial year?
(3) How much funding will each CRC
receive in the 2026–27 financial year?
(4) Given that funding increases to date
have only covered indexation, will the government commit to increasing funding
under the next contracts commencing 1 July 2027 to ensure CRCs can maintain
current service delivery?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
Honourable member,
this information was asked for yesterday, so the answer is current as of
yesterday's date.
(1)–(2) There are 101 CRCs funded by the state
government and two are funded by the federal government. I table the attached
document.
(See paper 1159.)
(3) This information will be available
post the 2026–27 budget. That is because it pertains to figures that were
included in the budget today, so we can do a calculation based on that.
(4) A
commissioning process is underway for the CRC program for the period from 1
July 2027 onwards.
