I refer to the role of Director of Agricultural Education and I ask:
(a) Is there currently a dedicated Director of Agricultural Education or equivalent senior leadership role within the Department of Education responsible for agricultural education policy and WA Colleges of Agriculture;
(b) Since 2017, how many individuals have held the position of Director of Agricultural Education, or any equivalent title, within the Department of Education;
(c) Will the Minister provide the following details for each individual who has held the role since 2017:
(i) name;
(ii) substantive classification level;
(iii) employment status;
(iv) commencement date; and
(v) conclusion date;
(d) Of those appointed to the role since 2017, how many were:
(i) permanent appointments; and
(ii) acting appointments;
(e) What is the current classification level of the Director of Agricultural Education role within the Department of Education;
(f) Has the classification level of the role changed at any time since 2017 and, if so, when and why;
(g) Does the Director of Agricultural Education currently report directly to a Deputy Director General, Executive Director or another senior officer within the Department;
(h) How many full-time equivalent staff currently sit within the Agricultural Education Directorate;
(i) What is the annual operating budget for the Agricultural Education Directorate;
(j) Has the Agricultural Education Directorate experienced any staffing reductions, restructures or changes in reporting lines since 2017;
(k) Does the Minister accept that repeated acting appointments in senior agricultural education roles can create instability for long-term planning and delivery of agricultural education programs;
(l) What measures is the Department taking to ensure strong strategic leadership and continuity within agricultural education across Western Australia’s public school system;
(m) ill the Minister table the current organisational structure for the Agricultural Education Directorate, including all senior positions and reporting lines;
(n) What key performance indicators or strategic objectives are assigned to the Director of Agricultural Education role; and
(o) How often does the Director of Agricultural Education engage directly with:
(i) WA Colleges of Agriculture;
(ii) regional schools delivering agricultural programs;
(iii) industry stakeholders; and
(iv) primary producer groups?
