Question
I refer to fencing at WA Public Schools, and I ask:(a) Is there a minimum fencing standard that public schools are required to meet; and(b) If yes to (a), what are the specific requirements of that standard?
Answer
(a)-(b) Where fencing at existing schools is installed or replaced, the Department of Education will work with the school to determine an appropriate fencing selection for that site and circumstance.
The purpose of the fencing, proposed location on site and context of the school will be considered to determine a suitable fencing specification that addresses school and community needs.
