Westport—Marine technical adviser program
312. Hon Steve Martin to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Transport:
(1) Has the Westport marine technical
adviser program been fully established and if not, what is its status?
(2) In what building or buildings are the
offices of the TA based?
(3) How many persons are employed as part
of the marine TA in FTE terms?
(4) In relation to (3), are these persons
counted in the Westport office FTE headcount?
(5) What work has the TA undertaken to
date and what work is the TA expected to undertake over the next 12 months?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. I provide the following
answer on behalf of the Minister for Transport.
(1)–(5) The number of people working on Westport
projects at any one time changes regularly and substantially depending on what
packages of work the technical adviser is issued to work on. No sensible
average is available due to the early stages of the contract. The marine and ports
TA is working on the container terminals, marine and port infrastructure
alongside supporting the system design and modelling task of Westport.
