Morton review—Crossbench staffing allocations
204. Hon Maryka Groenewald to the Leader of the House
representing the Premier:
I refer to the
government's refusal to provide equal staffing to all crossbench members of
Parliament and the Leader of the House stating during estimates that the then
ongoing Morton review was the only reason for the delay in giving all parties
equal staffing allocations.
(1) Given the Morton review was
completed, tabled and reviewed months ago, will the government provide a date
for when it will give all crossbench members equal staffing allocation?
(2) Given that page 152 of the Morton
review recommends that the additional staffing allocations be provided to all
crossbench members no later than 1 January 2026, why has the government refused
to do so?
