Question

I refer to the environmental assessment of the Westport development in Cockburn Sound, and I ask:(a) Has the Environmental Protection Authority identified Cockburn Sound as a breeding or nursery habitat for dolphins or commercially important fish species;(b) What baseline population data exists for resident dolphin populations within Cockburn Sound;(c) Has the potential for behavioural displacement of dolphins due to construction noise been formally assessed;(d) Has cumulative environmental impact, including historic seagrass loss and industrial activity, been incorporated into the assessment framework; and(e) How has the precautionary principle under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 been applied in assessing scientific uncertainty associated with long-term ecological impacts?
