Bellevue Residents and Ratepayers Association
238. Hon Anthony Spagnolo to the minister representing
the Minister for Local Government:
I refer to the
government's 2025 election commitment of $5,000 to the Bellevue Residents and
Ratepayers Association Inc that was publicly announced but, according to the
minister's own department, has stalled because the recipient has not been
contactable since October last year.
(1) What due diligence was undertaken
before this commitment was announced, including confirming the capacity and
readiness of the recipient organisation?
(2) Was this project assessed against any
formal merit-based grants process, or was it selected as part of an election
commitment without standard departmental scrutiny?
(3) Will the minister table a list of all
election commitments within her portfolios from the 2025 election and indicate
which commitments have been delivered and which remain outstanding?
