TAFE—International students
401. Hon Tjorn Sibma to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Tertiary and International Education:
My question without
notice, of which some notice has been provided, is now redirected to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Tertiary and
International Education. I do not know who that happy soul is. Come in,
spinner!
I refer to the
Department of Training and Workforce Development's service 6, "Recruitment
and Management of International Students".
(1) How many international students are
enrolled across TAFE colleges in Western Australia?
(2) By industry category, in which
courses are these students enrolled?
(3) Are international students entitled
to enrol in fee-free or low-fee courses and, if so, what conditions of
enrolment, if any, apply?
(4) What is the direct economic value of
the international student market for the TAFE system?
