Question
Given the importance of reviewing comprehensive data to inform policy and prevention strategies related to sexual assault and harassment in schools, in light of the report on Sexual Harassment of Teachers by Collective Shout and Maggie Dent, and noting serious concerns about sexual harassment in schools not being adequately addressed, I ask:(a) for each calendar year from 2021 to 2025, how many incidents have been reported through the Department of Education’s online incident notification system involving:(i) students as both victims and perpetrators;(ii) teachers as victims and students as perpetrators; and(iii) students as victims and teachers as perpetrators; and(b) for each calendar year from 2021 to 2025, what is the breakdown of the data from (a) in the categories of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and any other applicable categories?
Answer
(a)-(b) Please refer to Legislative Council Question Without Notice 1276
