Treasurer—Performance
370. Hon Nick Goiran to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Treasurer:
I refer to the
answer on 12 May 2026 to my question without notice in which the Treasurer
did not provide the house with the total cost to taxpayers to date following
the state's failed defence in the case of DB v the
State of Western Australia .
(1) Does the Treasurer recall the
resolution of the house on 6 May 2026 expressing concern about the
unsatisfactory performance of the state Treasurer in 2025?
(2) Does the Treasurer know the total
cost to taxpayers, including damages and costs?
(3) If yes to (2), what is that amount?
(4) If no to
(2), will the Treasurer undertake to obtain that information and provide it to
the house tomorrow?
(5) If no to (4), why not?
