Bunbury port—Dredging
380. Hon Dr Brad Pettitt to the Minister for Ports:
My question without
notice, of which some notice has been given, is asked on behalf of
Hon Jess Beckerling.
I refer to the
correspondence received by her office expressing concern about the
deterioration of the health of the Australind estuary.
(1) Have there been any changes to
dredging in the Bunbury port since January 2024, specifically the location,
machinery used and frequency or volume of dredging?
(2) If yes to (1), can the minister
please provide detail?
The President: Just to clarify—you are asking on
behalf of Hon Jess Beckerling, who is away from the chamber on urgent
parliamentary business.

I do not think the honourable member said "to the
Minister for Ports". If he did, I did not hear him, but I have an answer.
(1)–(2) There have been no changes in port of
Bunbury dredging operations since January 2024, including the location,
machinery used, frequency or volume of dredging.
