Question

I refer to Infrastructure WA’s Major Infrastructure Proposal Assessment, which notes that detailed design and commercial refinement would continue under the alliance arrangement, and I ask:(a) what is the current timeline for final contract award;(b) when is construction expected to commence;(c) when is the project expected to be completed;(d) is the project capable of being staged or scaled;(e) if yes to (d), which components could be deferred without compromising core functionality; and(f) what impact would any staging or deferral have on the overall project cost or delivery timeframe?

Answer

(a-f)     Site preparation works commenced in February 2026, with a construction contract to        be awarded in due course. There is no consideration of staging the project, which is      expected to be complete in late 2027.
