I refer to power outages in The Perth Hills in February 2026, and I ask:(a) how many unplanned power outages have occurred in Mundaring in:(i) January 2026;(ii) February 2026; and(iii) the 2025 calendar year;(b) what was the duration of each outage;(c) what was the recorded cause of each outage; and(d) how many properties were affected by each outage?
Answer
(a) Mundaring has experienced 62 unplanned outages during the requested period.
(b - d)
Power was restored for unplanned outages within 3 minutes to 68 hours, with over half restored in under 4 hours. The causes of these unplanned outages include but are not limited to; animals, weather, vegetation and unknown. During the requested period, the median number of customers affected by unplanned outages was 29.
