282. Hon Dr Steve Thomas to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation:
I refer to the
planned maintenance on the Muja 7 and Muja 8 power stations.
(1) Can the minister confirm that
maintenance is planned for the Muja 7 and Muja 8 power stations from July to
September 2026?
(2) If yes to (1), what is the projected
or budgeted cost of the maintenance for each unit and in total and what are the
proposed shutdown timeframes for each unit?
(3) If no to (1), what maintenance is
planned for each of the Muja 7 and Muja 8 power stations in 2026, 2027 and
2028?

(1)–(2) There is $25.5 million in planned
maintenance works scheduled for Muja 7 from 22 June 2026 to 5 October
2026; and $38.5 million in planned maintenance works are scheduled for
Muja 8 from 17 August 2026 to 30 November 2026.
(3) Not applicable.
