(g) what is the completion date and the projected cost of the entire Clean Energy Link - North project?
Answer
(a – c, f - g)
The project converts the existing Perth to Three Springs 132kV line to a 330kV line, allowing up to 1.4Gw of additional capacity to be added to the Southwest Interconnected System.
Sections receiving an upgrade include Padbury Substation to Wangara Substation, Wangara Substation to Neerabup Terminal, Neerabup Terminal to Northern Terminal, and Northern Terminal to Henley Brook Substation, as well as upgrades to Northern, Regans, Neerabup, Eneabba and Three Springs Terminals. The project is targeting completion by end 2027, with the total budget estimated at $1.2 billion.
(d) N/A
(e) Converting the 132kV line to 330kV results in two 330kVs through the region, which is sufficient to meet expected generation.
